Our multi-sensory room was opened in 2011 along with the new building. A few of the things in the room are a ball pit, a swinging chair, and mats. It mainly is used by the children in the ASD classrooms but other children in the school use it as well. The benefits of this room are if someone is very upset about something and are finding it hard to concentrate it is nice to go there to wind down. The room is one of the many different places that are part of the ASD classes as well as the playground, Area 9 and the lights room.
It is fun to play in and is a very safe environment. Other children in the school can also use the room. The room is located beside Area 9 downstairs. The room is padded on the walls and floor. It is great, the children in our school love this room.
