Engineer’s Week

Engineer’s Week ran from Monday 4th March until Friday 8th. Senior Infants were very busy looking at the different types of bridges that can be built and trying to make a structure stable enough for a toy car to safely pass over it. We looked at long beam bridges, arch bridges and truss bridges. It was lots of fun!

We were also really lucky to have Sharyn Flynn come in and visit our class. Sharyn answered lots of excellent questions about how bridges are built and different forms of renewable energy. We were all really impressed with the cool buildings Sharyn has helped to build.
