A massive congratulations to all our 6th Class children (and staff) who completed the final mile of the Marathon Kids programme on Wednesday.
The classes began their training 8 weeks ago, increasing their running distances as the weeks went on. They had great fun running in the local community in preparation for the final event. They also learned about the importance of exercise for our wellbeing and mental health, and about fuelling our bodies with nutrious food.
Our runners kicked off the event for 2018, beginning first at the starting line with Irish olympian David Gillick and Lord Mayor of Fingal. They even got a selfie!!
The children have done themselves and their school proud, and we hope to see them keeping up their running in the coming weeks!
